What does factory refurbished means?

Factory refurbished items are the ones re-packaged and inspected thoroughly by the manufacturer to make sure that it meets the standard quality of the item. It is a product that has been returned to the manufacturer for any of a number of reasons, it cannot be sold as new. The manufacturer gives 1 year warranty for the factory refurbished items.

What are the reasons an item becomes a factory refurbished?
  • The item was returned to the manufacturer because of a slight defect. The part that was defective was replaced by the manufacturer, tested and then repackaged just like new.
  • The item has a minor cosmetic blemish and was to returned to the manufacturer. The manufacturer then corrected the blemish.
  • Demo items are factory refurbished and are inspected and re-packaged by the manufacturer.
  • The items that are new and overstocked are labeled as factory refurbished.
  • When the box or casing of an item is damaged in shipment and returned to the manufacturer.
